Robert Early Johnson is the National Sales Manager for Channels at Avalara. In this role, he manages the national field sales organization and key ERP software developer relationships. He and his team are responsible for managing Avalara’s rapidly growing channel sales strategy.
Previously, Mr. Johnson served as head of Channel Programs and Readiness for Sage in North America. In this position, he successfully directed a team managing channel operations, channel education, programs and events for the more than 3,000 Sage business partners in North America. Under Johnson’s direction, the partner programs offered by Sage won numerous national awards year after year. These programs help thousands of small businesses improve their business performance. Mr. Johnson developed the Sage Sales Academy (SSA), an award-winning comprehensive sales improvement training program. Delivered across the globe, SSA has helped thousands of salespeople change the trajectory of their careers. Newly expanded, SSA now includes comprehensive training for consultants and sales leaders, and includes a mentoring component.
