With the many changes to the business landscape, BAASS like other companies has had to adapt our strategies and best practices in order to remain successful. One way we have adapted is by bringing our 25th year of the Largest Sage End User Conference to a virtual space, sharing with you adaptive business approaches to current times and how to best utilize existing systems as well as how to improve in the future. In this blog, we will discuss five ways BAASS Connect has transformed in 2020.
Fully Virtual Event
Virtual and on-demand events have gained traction as an alternative to in-person events, and with social distancing still in place, it is a great way to hold conferences without risking attendee safety. Although physical interactions are no longer present, there are a number of reasons why virtual events are beneficial and various ways you can prepare to get the most out of your time.
By moving our BAASS Connect Event to a virtual space your business is able to save time and money rather than attending a traditional conference. This year our event will be spread across 10 half-days which focus on various topics, giving you the ability to pick and choose which sessions are best suited for you and your business; as well as have various staff attend depending on the topic. If you register for a session and are unable to attend, or have registered for two sessions at the same time there are no worries! This is because each session we hold will be recorded. Lastly, each event will hold a question and answer period in the end, giving our attendees the ability to have their questions answered by our subject matter experts directly.
Half-Day Events
Our 10 Half-Day Events are scheduled to run between November 10th and December 10th, 2020 from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm EST. Each Half-Day Event will have a focused topic, for example, Business Intelligence, Customer Relationship Management, and Exploring the Sage Ecosystem. These days are broken down into sessions giving attendees the ability to select precisely what they want to attend, and when they can. By spreading our events out with specific days and sessions it helps our attendees to have a smaller commitment of time and more flexibility; while having the opportunity to gain CPD Credits for attending sessions. Deeper Dive into Topics
Since our half-day events are topic-specific it gives our subject matter experts the ability to take a deep dive into the topics. In previous years we would have one or two sessions held on specific topics such as Business Intelligence or Human Resources, where this year there will be an entire 4-hour event dedicated to these topics. This helps to clearly identify which employee should be attending which session in order to get the most out of the event and your time. For instance, if you are not a manufacturer there would likely be no need to schedule time in your calendar to attend our Sage Distribution and Manufacturing day.
FREE to Attend
In previous years, our BAASS Connect Conference had a price to attend due to the educational benefit, food and location costs. With our event moving virtual we are able to utilize available resources and share our knowledge at no cost. This gives our attendees the same value, with no financial investment to attend our sessions; you select the material that makes the most sense for you, listen in during the live broadcast, or access the session on-demand later.
