Does your company’s chart of accounts have Locations, Departments, Divisions, Funds and Projects? Are you fed up of having to create separate G/L account for each Account and segment combinations? Are you spending too much time manipulating financial reports/data in Excel due to legacy Account structures or Account Segments?

Intacct Dimensions offers entirely new way to manage your general leger and chart of accounts. Dimensions allow you to independently tag your transactions without having to have separate accounts for each Location, Department, Division, Fund and Project. You can tag a transaction by any combination of the dimensions.

For an example let’s take a company with Location and Department structure so we can demonstrate the difference.

Locations:

100 – Vancouver

200 – Toronto

300 – Calgary

Departments:

10 – Marketing

20 – Sales

30 – Engineering

40 – Development

50 – Admin
