Sage 300 ERP Intelligence is the reporting tool that is shipped along with Sage 300 ERP.
If you have Sage 300 ERP (5.6/6.0) the Sage Intelligence Reporting should be one of the pre-checked modules for you.
If you don't see Sage 300 ERP Intelligence as one of your icons on the desktop, you will need to go to Administrative Services --> Data Activation and activate Sage Intelligence from there. Note that everyone on 5.6/6.0 will get one license of the Report Manager out of the box.
Free Report Manager allows the user to:
- Author new reports (organizing, creating, editing), as well as filter and aggregate data based on existing data containers and available fields only.
- Set permissions/security for modules and/or licenses as well as individual reports.
What are the limitations on the Free Report Manager License?
- Can connect to multiple Sage 300 ERP companies, but only one company at a time.
- Cannot connect to non-Sage ERP 300 ERP databases (the Connector module is required to connect to additional ODBC sources).
- Cannot add additional fields to standard reports that are not already provided by the data containers (requires Connector module).
- Cannot perform multi-company consolidations (requires the Connector module).
- Cannot create reports off modules and/or fields that are not available in the standard data containers (requires the Connector module).
- Cannot schedule reports to run automatically (requires the Connector module).
- Cannot import reports created from other Intelligence installations (requires an additional Report Manager and/or Connector module).
- Cannot run OLAP or cube reports (requires the Analysis module).
