When businesses see rapid growth, a lot of talk begins to happen between company departments and clients related to the same documents and the same issues.

An HRIS (Human Resource Information System) system offers many time-saving features. One of these features is the self-service function. HR professionals often think of the employee self-service portal as just a better way for employees to update their contact information and other data.  

Changing from seat-based legacy systems to cloud-based systems can be challenging. Some employees may not want to shift to the new systems. Others fear that they may lose their status in the company as the ‘answer person’ for all the old system’s quirks, making them jealously guard the legacy system as if it were a pet to be kept on. But once people understand the many benefits of cloud computing, they may be happy to embrace cloud-based applications and move on to the new system.  

Problem Details:

Need to re-add a company to the start list in Sage 300 or need to edit the connection to point to a different database location. 

The date was November 15, 16, 17, or 29^th – depending on which city you were in. For me it was the 29^th and I was in New Westminster, BC.  I woke up bright and early and made my way to BAASS Connect. When I arrived, preparations were in full swing.
